How to Prevent On-The-Job Back Injuries is a new safety training video available from The Idea Bank. 18-minute VHS video, $89.00.

According to Idea Bank president, Richard Lambert, more than 400,000 back injuries occurred last year in the United States. Says Lambert, "Back injuries have become the #1 safety problem in the workplace today," Lambert adds, "we are hoping that this new training video will help reduce the enormous human cost resulting from back injuries in the landscape and nursery industry."

The 18-minute VHS video is divided into special segments showing employees how to prevent injuries which directly result from specific activities. These include both in-field as well as office-related activities. Among them are lifting objects, carrying loads, operating office machinery and using mechanical equipment correctly.

Since most back injuries are preventable, the video also includes special recommendations on good posture, health habits, exercise and professional treatment when pain does occur.
